Review of The Bourne Identity (2002) by Deanomite — 03 Feb 2020
So much better than the sequels, just the right amount of romance, Franka Potente is excellent. The stunts have understated music and driving. The action mounts as the other super assassins get tougher going along, feels like an rpg.
It's just a superior movie. The sound effects have more variety, the locations are more varied. Matt Damon as the man in search for himself is excellent. I love how he takes charge right away and she interlocks with him so naturally.
Franka Potente really makes the movie. Bryan Cox is excellent, Julia Stiles has more range in this one, negotiating for staffing and all. Clive Owen is excellent.
