Review of The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day (2009) by Jonathan G — 09 Aug 2010
I'm gonna make this short... The movie wasn't that good. Full of cliches and lacking the mythos of the original. Matter-of-fact, it's a direct copy of the original movie, just changing the dead or missing characters out with less-superior characters.
The righteous indignation of two faithful Irish men from the first movie was traded in this movie for two Irish thugs that had nothing better to do than shoot people up. I still haven't seen the documentary on the director, Troy Duffy called "Overnight", but I'm very curious to see it now more than ever.
It's said to see a sequel of such a great movie done with less than par energy. What happened to Sean Patrick Flanery, he doesn't even look the same. He most have had some work done.
