Review of The Boondock Saints (1999) by Corey P — 08 Apr 2017
When the movie started I was a bit dissatisfied was starting to feel as if this was another generic movie not until it got into it's main story. For a moment it felt as if I was reliving Snatch all over again.
I didn't like the choice of music in one of the scenes or in the scene where the brothers are backwards and they kill the mafia in the hotel it was so obvious that the bullets never impacted with the bodies of the mafia members.
Not a sign of blood or gunshot was seen. I did enjoy Willem Dafoe's character especially when he dressed in drag he looked hot af. The ending was sort of weak in my opinion like I get that they had to set it up for part 2 but still come on this would have been a better standalone movie if the ending was deeper.
In the end this movie deserves the credit to be a classic and still I will never understand why it was bashed by critics.
