You can always tell when people don't know squat about law enforcement because the first thing they do is portray the FBI like egomaniacs and elitists who walk into a situation and treat the local PD like amateurs.
In reality, the FBI gets nowhere without aid from local PD. And the truth is the FBI relies on some of the larger departments for resources the FBI lacks.
