Review of The Bookshop (2017) by George P — 16 Sep 2018
The Bookshop I felt was a very nice movie. The acting by Emily Mortimer, Patricia Clarkson and Bill Nighy in particular were exquisite. The story was intriguing and the flow of the story was rather good.
I liked the small British town aspect of it. Camerawork and cinematography were nothing outrageous I would say, they were normal and not distracting at all. I personaly had a great time watching The Bookshop.
The ending is sad, but it brings a sort of justice ultimately to Florence, and a sort of 'revenge' (If I cannot have the store you cannot have it either) to the uptight Mrs. Gamart. All in all I give this movie 4/5 stars.
