Review of The Body Snatcher (1945) by Robert H — 16 Sep 2012
Strange and odd horror film that totally takes a while to get into it, but by the end it's just so strange and depraved it keeps you to the end. Boris Karloff is very fairly topbilled here as a grave robber/vab driver hired by a local medical school to provide fresh bodies.
The doctor there, pl;ayed by Henry Danell, sees nothing wrong with it, much to the chagrin of his new assistant. But there's other reasons why this is happening, and it's oh so multilayered, twisted and complex, esecially so for a 1945 horror film.
Not the best horror film ever, but one heck of an interesting one for sure.
