Review of The Blues Brothers (1980) by Byron B — 16 Oct 2015
Having heard the soundtrack to this movie throughout my childhood but having never seen the film this film was always on a list of films I had to see. Having now taken the time to watch it I can thankfully say I wasn't disappointed.
The film was funny and as out there as you would expect. The soundtrack is great and the list of singers they managed to get to perform in the film really encapsulates some of the best singers of that generation.
The inclusion of Carrie Fisher's character felt a bit crow-barred in to me as her presence is not really explained until the end of the film but this was the only negative really.
