Review of The Blues Brothers (1980) by Jack P — 12 Dec 2012
"It's dark and we're wearing sunglasses." Sit back and enjoy the comedic talents of Belushi and Aykroyd in their prime. The plot is weak (like the Good Ole Boys were so late for the gig at Bob's Country Bunker that the Blues Brothers actually saved Bob from an angry crowd) but who cares? Great musicians like Aretha, Ray Charles, John Lee Hooker, Cab Calloway, James Brown & The Blues Brothers Band make for a treat.
Plus the dozens of cameos make this worth seeing dozen times.
