Review of The Blob (1988) by Greg B — 13 Apr 2009
Everything a guilty pleasure should be: Disgusting, Cheesy and completely amusing.
So basically there's a giant pink blob and it eats everything in it's sight, including the numerous teens making out in their cars.
The creature design reminds me of another sci-fi/horror "The Thing" where that alien absorbs those which it eats.
And so when ever this blob eats stuff, it grows.
The rating goes to the "feel" of the film alone.
I'm up late, I'm having a good night, I see a cheesy B-grade horror movie on - a horror movie I'll forget by morning - and all's well.
It's a no-brainer but hey, that's where the fun lies. Sit back, watch the limbs flies, watch pink goo mutate and enjoy it.
Featuring a young Kevin Dillon to my amusement.
