Review of The Blob (1988) by Sean D — 10 Oct 2014
Remake of the 1958 film made 30 years prior about a man-made biological weapon in the form of some Jelly sent off into space that came back and landed in a small town and like all other generic man-made things, it has a taste for killing and absorbing the bodies of everything it eats, it gets bigger and bigger. It's later discovered that it hates the cold but it doesn't seem to do anything but repel it, in similar fashion to rust and demons like in the Night of the Demons remake that I ironically watched very much exactly prior to this film.
Shawnee Smith from the Saw series and Charlie Sheen's new show Anger Management makes her big splash of her acting career at 19yo in this film. The film is a fun campy lab Sci-Fi horror / slasher...
