Review of The Blob (1988) by Bill M — 21 Apr 2014

This is one of the best horror movies of the 80's, yeah thats right motherfucker! why are more people not singing the praises of this unusually well crafted genre flick, it's slick, it's gory, the effects are amazing, it's thrilling, exciting, has decent, likable leads including a great badass chick in Shawnee Smith's cheerleader turned blob killer, it's got a great pace, awesome set pieces, and even finds time to be a paranoid sci-fi conspiracy thriller, action movie, and even a sly satire of other horror movies of the era, brilliantly skewering slasher flicks long before Scream did, in short this movie works on so many levels and so bloody well that im pretty pissed off that it's not more highly regarded.

So i'll have to heap some more praise then, The Blob is a masterpiece of 80's horror, and a total blast.
