Review of The Blob (1958) by Shane D — 30 Oct 2009
It was a tough choice deciding whether to watch the Kevin Dillon version of "The Blob" or the original Steve McQueen one, but in the end, running time was the deciding factor, this version being the shortest.
Suprisingly, it looked a lot newer than I was expecting a 50 year old film to look, yet I the first thing I noticed was how Steve McQueen, even when he was younger, still look liked a bit of an old dude.
I recommend this film to all who would like to see an entire film where every single actor seemed to over-act, not too much, but just enough for you to notice. It must have been a hard thing to achieve.
Even in 1958. This is film number 1 of 70....69 more films to come, with matching reviews over the next 7 days.....
