Another example of style over substance, writer/director Sofia Coppola underwhelms with her latest film about a greedy and fame-obsessed generation. It looks great and has an interesting flavor, but The Bling Ring never digs deep into these characters that we watch live selfish lives.
It showed promise in the beginning, but never paid off.
