Review of The Black Hole (1979) by Dave C — 16 Feb 2008
This is Disney's answer to star wars. This movie is good for its special effects, but not much after that. The plot is basically "20,000 leagues under the sea" in space. Both stories are practically the same, only they're in different settings. I know it sounds crazy, but that's why this movie never good status.
The entire movie is about a man who is obsessed about doing the unthinkable- to go in to a black hole, and thatâ??s what everybody wants to see. And when the time comes, itâ??s justâ?¦ an unimpressively short and unfulfilling journey.
Disney had an interesting concept, but failed to deliver a good story, because â??20,000 leagues under the seaâ?? and black holes mix like oil and water.
