Review of The Black Hole (1979) by Gaby K — 08 Oct 2010
So you have a spaceship full of robot zombies captained by Captain Nemo presumably post-Mysterious Island and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen obsessed by a black hole and eventually gets killed by a Jerry Jones-sized flat screen TV.
This was Disney's attempt to copy Star Wars and 2001 but coming closer to Star Trek: The Motion Picture with worse acting, an unintelligible plot, and staring Earnest Borgnine and Anthony Perkins.
I'm not sure why it didn't do better at the box office. I expect a remake in the next couple years.
