Historically speaking, The Birth of a Nation is one of, if not the most important film in cinematic history. Its revolutionary camera techniques and story structure are undoubtably influential. But what starts out as a brilliant masterpiece slowly degrades into KKK propaganda that even I can't ignore.
It's first half and its historical significance can still compensate for that.
