The critics overrated this film. It took a while to get going, the "jokes" were not particularly funny, with one exception, and only Ray Romano and, especially, Holly Hunter made the movie gain that extra star.
Zoe Kazan did a good job, but I felt little chemistry between the leads. There was more chemistry between the jilted comic and her parents! Apparently, it is still hard to make a great movie about stand up comedians.
See Dustin Hoffman as Lenny Bruce instead.
