Review of The Big Sick (2017) by James S — 26 Sep 2017
One of the best romcoms in years, The Big Sick breaks out of the standard formula and explores themes of culture and identity, not by focusing on the couple, but relationship with the parents that makes up the films core.
It's smart, funny, charming, and moving. Solid perfomaces hold it all together, especially a welcome turn by Ray Romano.
