Review of The Big Short (2015) by Darth V — 28 Aug 2016
If you haven't figured it out, this movie has to do investors and hedge fund players who figure out that the housing bubble is based on a series of scams and they bet against the housing market. It's a marvelously well done film and goes into some depth on how the scams were created, perpetuated and eventually self-destructed, much like a ponzi scheme.
All the actors are superb, especially the character played by Steve Carell. It's just a really good movie, which captures you in the first 5 minutes and doesn't let go until the very end.
