Review of The Big Short (2015) by Herndonrules — 17 Jan 2016
Tells a story involving complex financial mechanisms in an understandable and entertaining way. Not easy to do. The ensemble cast all act the the story well, all are portrayed as eccentric, which I guess is why this is described as comedy.
Not sure I see it that way, given the tragedy the movie portrays. Tough to find a hero in this, as all are out to make money. It also glosses over the role the federal government had in contributing to the crisis.
Those are minor criticisms against an overall worth seeing movie. Stick around for the devastating closing credits and music.
