The Big Short is a movie about the housing market collapse of 2007-2008. The subject matter is often hard to fully comprehend, however; this movie puts it in terms that makes it easier to understand. The movie has an all star cast with great actors like Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, and Brad Pitt.
Humor is used throughout the movie to keep the subject matter interesting and entertaining. There are also cameos by celebrities to further bring the subject matter down to layman's terms. Bale and Carell are brilliant in their portrayals.
This is a movie you will want to see more than once as it is highly entertaining and funny, but also to fully understand what took place during the financial crisis of 2007-2008. You will get more out of it the second time around.
