Review of The Big Red One (1980) by Jeff S — 31 May 2013
This is my favorite WWII war movie. In my humble but accurate opinion it is the best one ever made. It's based on real events that the Director Samuel Fuller and others experienced. Great action and well acted. Shot on location in Israel, with Israeli soldiers playing Nazi camp guards. Surreal.
It's an excellent film from start to finish. WWII thumbs up.
