Review of The Big Heat (1953) by Bill T — 30 Dec 2010
Great gripping film noir, one of the best really, from Mr. Expressionism himself, Fritz Lang. Glenn Ford plays a homicide detective that you don't fuck with, and when underworld types kill his wife, well, watch out.
Great supporting cast lead by the always amazing Lee Marvin. Oh yeah, the dames are quite hard too. Nothing glamorous in this tinseled town, as Dwight Yoakam used to say.
