Review of The Big Heat (1953) by Art S — 27 Jun 2011
Fritz Lang is one of the masterful auteurs of the Golden Age of Hollywood, and this is the best of his American films. Tense, unsettling, and compelling for its ability to contrast the facade of idealism that pervaded the 1950s, with corruption and injustice that lay beneath.
Classic.
