Review of The Big Country (1958) by Hartmut E — 14 Jan 2010
A multilayered story doing away with your general "real man" image of old western days, taking a deeper look at moral courage, where good and evil aren't so easily distinguished. A great intelligent story, beautiful epic camera work, a wonderful cast and a fantastic music score by Jerome Moross.
It IS a big movie in it's own sense! One of my favorites!
