Another great Gregory Peck film but I have to say that Burl Ives steals every scene in which he appears. Jim McKay is the voice of reason between two feuding families but he's fighting an uphill battle with both the men involved.
Although Chuck Connors was a familiar face in the western series The Rifleman, he plays a very different character in this movie.
