Review of The BFG (2016) by Tlhg — 02 Aug 2016

This is one of Spielberg's weakest feature in my opinion, which just means that this is not an amazing movie. It is a very good one though and if I didn't know Spielberg can do better I would say it's a great movie.

So don't go into the movie theater with incredibly high expectations just because of the director, specially if you are an adult (unless you have young kids or a used to interact with kids, I think that then you might have a greater ability to get in the mood for this movie than I do).

This is a very nice movie for kids and I am sure that if I were something like 8 I would have loved it! I am almost two decades older than that and I could enjoy it and have a great time anyway. The cinematography, the design, and the soundtrack are of the highest quality you can find these days.

So if you are thinking about watching it the movie theater but you're not sure if it is worthy, be sure it is. You won't be frustrated with this movie, but you won't see Spielberg doing a timeless piece as he usually does, that's all and, in the end of the day, who cares? The man already made history as a director/film maker anyway.
