Review of The Bet (2007) by Peter S — 21 Dec 2007
A modern day version of "Wall St" set in Sydney, this number from Mark Lee is not a bad flick. Covers moral issues of the finance industry and how fear and greed can lead us astray. Matt Newton is quite talented (Bert's son) and is good in the lead "Bud Fox" type role (he has not done much film apart from "Looking for Alibrandi").
Not sure if this is getting a mainstream cinema release but not a bad DVD option if you like the genre (or work in the industry).
