Review of The Best Years of Our Lives (1946) by Matthäus F — 28 Sep 2007
I didn't expect to like this fil. It promises to be a sappy melodrama, but in reality it's a deep and moving portrait of a generation of men whose lives were fundamentally altered by the experience of WWII.
The scene near the end between Harold Russell and Cathy O'Donnell as she helps him remove his prostheses is amazingly moving.
