Review of The Best Years of Our Lives (1946) by Eduardo C — 13 Aug 2013
Despite its soap opera plot elements, few films have as much heart and compassion as this story about three World War II veterans who meet each other on the way home from the war and instantly become close friends despite being quite different men.
Few films will move you as deeply as this one, and it moved the Academy enough to win seven awards, including best picture.
