Review of The Best Years of Our Lives (1946) by S M — 08 Apr 2007
OMG What a touching and remarkable film! Why cant more films be made like this? Well worth my 3 hours lolz. I suppose I ought to come clean. I LUV long films. TBYOOL nearly moved me to tears. If u watched it, u would know what I mean, no doubt.
The film revolves around 3 veteran soldiers who having done their duty in WWII, come back to their families only to find how much they have changed over the course of 4 years or somethin'. But what amazes me most about this classic is things I never would have thought about b4.
Its almost scary. I mean think about it. If u go away 4 whatever reason, and u come back and see how much different your family and friends have become, wouldnt u be sad? It's like u have been forgotten.
They decided to move on which must have been hard. U would think you'd be rejoicing and hugs & kisses all around but the realization is that's only 4 a mere moment. But hey! Look on the bright side! At least now u have the opportunity to improve your lives.
A chance to start anew. Oh GOD I hope I didnt spoil the movie 4 u but it just really got to me. No wonder it won Best Picture at the Oscars and all the other oscars! I STRONGLY recommend this movie, for all ages!
