Review of The Bells of St. Mary's (1945) by Bill T — 05 May 2011
Slow moving relgious feel-good movie has Bing Crosby as a new priest to a school run by a Nun played by Ingrid Bergman. Crosby has many different things to worry about here. Some unscrupelous developer wants to tear it down to make a parking lot, a troubled teen moves into the scthool, and then there's Ingrid Bergman, which presents plenty problems on their own.
At 2 houra 14 minutes, this is all a bit much, and some editing would have definitely helped, although I pretty much gave up on the movie at about the 1 hour mark.
