Review of The Beast Must Die (1974) by Stephen C — 11 Jul 2010
Ahh the mighty Amicus studios ,along with Hammer responsible for some wonderful Brit Horro movies of the 60s and 70s and this one although dated in places and very silly is a kitch classic.
You even get a 30 second werewolf break to work out who the killer is and also the were wolf is just a big balck dog ,but when your having fun watching Calvin Lockharts wondefully ripe performance and Peter Cushings funny accent.
Its all a bit chesy but I guess Amicus wanted it that way and this critic cant complain when some modern horror films have lost that humorous streak that horror films sometimes need .
Me I loved the whole silly thing and thats enough.
