Review of The Baron of Arizona (1950) by Kevin D — 13 Nov 2010
Improves dramatically after a rocky start. The opening exposition had me rolling my eyes, and the elaborate scheme Price conceives to seize ownership of the territory, while fascinating in concept, remains a leaden series of unconvincing plot points.
Once the plan is set in motion, the film gels nicely. Price remains a compelling antihero throughout and has a strong chemistry with Ellen Drew.
