Plays like a neutered version of What Makes Sammy Run and All About Eve. The problem is, Douglas really isn't such a bad guy by Hollywood standards. Sure, he steals others' credit, has affairs and indirectly kills people, but come on - who in Hollywood doesn't!? He's much nicer than Eve and Sammy.
