Review of The Awakening (2010) by Nell A — 06 Jun 2017
The characters, actors and chemistry between them are all hypnotizing - as is the cinematography. However, big reveals and 180 turns mid-movie are only effective when you've dropped hints and given the viewer a chance to become suspicious of the setup and story.
This movie just completely changes its mind midway. The ending is simply not set up well at all. But I would watch it again, purely for the actors. They are all amazing.
