Review of The Asphyx (1972) by Jack Y — 09 Jun 2007
The sort of horror that they do not make nowadays that required an audience to think. Stephens discovers a way to keep the asphyxa creature that comes for souls at the point of deathfrom taking its prey.
After experimenting on himself, he offers to immortalize his daughter and her fiancé, unaware of the consequences of his earlier actions. Great concept and still haunting 30-plus years on.
