Review of The Asphyx (1972) by Andrew G — 14 May 2008
There is NO other film like this...The atmos is genuine, and the acting is surprisingly good...and the plot? Nothing like it ever...(well maybe GHOSTBUSTERS) but this Victoria Era, Jules Verne-like tale of trapping the essence of a human before they die, to keep them alive, is really not one you hear about too much of...Excellent props, and generally creepy, this is one of my faves.
