Review of The Asphyx (1972) by David S — 10 Oct 2007
Think of it as a sort of a "Ghostbusters" for the Victorian age... Just without the comedy. A scientist is able to capture ghostly harbingers of death (think of a small, grim reaper-like creature) by using some mechanical light device that shines a blue-green aura that somehow entrances the apparition.
.. Who comes up with these ideas? I will admit, it's original, but too unbelievable to take seriously (as the film wants you to). Horror fans might want to give a rent, all others can just stroll on by.
.. Though I did like the final shot, nice way to end the movie...
