"The Apartment" is a perfect, flawless film. Billy Wilder delivers a film that is so painfully real. It takes its cues from reality, never feeling zany nor melodramatic. It's humor and its drama comes from life.
Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine give fantastic performances, and Fred MacMurray offers wonderful support, stepping out of type to play a sleazy womanize.
