Review of The Apartment (1960) by Alan D — 04 Dec 2008
Hey buddy boy, this film is beautifull.its not just the orginal premise of a bacholar lending out his apartment to his superiours, too make his way in the company. but it's brilliant script thats not only funny and sharp but casualy provoctive which was quite diffrent for its time.
too the untraind eye, you would think it was shot in a carefull minimlistic style, but when viewd closeley you can wilder's exquisite detail in each frame. you can also see "the apartments" influence in modern cinema.
from woody allen too zack braff. it's style is unique and was inovitive at the time. jack lemmon and shirly mclean both bring the charecters too the screen wonderfully. it will make you smile. "the Apartment is the definition of a true classic.
