Review of The Apartment (1960) by Ryan K — 24 Mar 2009
The Apartment is capable of producing laughs in one of the simplest of ways. With all these modern comedies that rely on blatant sex jokes, it is nice to see a more subtle take on the whole concept of a sex comedy.
For its time The Apartment was a beautifully well done comedy that relies on a well written script and cinematography, which still to this day stands up high with the top movies of all time. Jack Lemmon was simply superb in this movie, and the supporting cast also fit in perfectly.
If one is fond of classic movies I suggest that they get this movie and sit back and enjoy.
