Review of The Apartment (1960) by Helena T — 10 Nov 2009
This is a very compelling drama with comedic elements that really skewered the loose morals of upper middle class businessmen in the early 60's. It really does a great job at pointing out the cracks in the "good old days" and still works as a very compelling romantic film that never really feels dated.
And Lemmon won my heart as the hapless bachelor who lets his bosses walk all over him and the spaghetti strainer scene with the tennis racket is all kinds of adorable.
