Review of The Amityville Horror (2005) by Michael H — 04 Jul 2009

A better remake than expected. I still prefer the 1979 version, but this did a decent job of modernizing the film while still sticking primarily to creepy scares instead of gore scares. Sure, gorier than the original, but not so much that it drove me away from the film, as many of today's torture-porn horror films do.
