Review of The Amityville Horror (2005) by Doctor S — 08 Oct 2013
It's full of flaws, but it's slightly more entertaining than the original. Almost all of the scares end up being too silly, and the film seems to rely on jumps and confusion. It's the same basic story, a little unfaithful, but the pacing is better.
The characters get pretty bland though, and considering how much the already strayed away from, I'm surprised that they couldn't make the ending a little more climatic.
