Review of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) by Jamie C — 15 Dec 2017

It's not very often you go into a Superhero film and compliment the on screen chemistry and acting between the hero and the love interest, Andrew and Emma were fantastic together even though the action was entertaining it wouldn't of been as good without the acting qualities on show, As for the action it was fast paced, Thrilling but nothing really new, The effects were top class as I expected, I can't comment on the 3D as I watched the 2D version but it looked like it would of been good in 3D, The film which starts slow and has a few hit and miss humourous moments in it but then gets dark but then adds old school cheese at times that didn't work, A very unexpected ending that just proves it's not always a happy ending in the comic book universe, The first real blockbuster of 2014 that has something for everyone so don't miss it, It's a shame Disney got greedy and bought Spider-Man from Sony as I was looking forward to seeing More from Andrew Garfield and the planned spin-offs like Sinister 6, I know Disney/Marvel make good films but they're always too colourful and light toned which doesn't always work.
