Review of The Age of Innocence (1993) by Billy L — 06 Aug 2008
Scorsese approaches the complex machinations of upper-class 19th Century New York, with the same attention to detail as he does the world of the mob in Goodfellas. Daniel Day-Lewis is great as always, and moves you with his portrayal of a man on the edge of abandoning his ordered society for romance.
