Review of The Age of Innocence (1993) by Ebru K — 24 Feb 2008
I thought Ryder represented the innocence very well when I first saw it (and that was a good twelve years ago..) Day-Lewis himself was a reason to watch of course.. Pfeiffer on the other hand was a bit distant as a contess and the affair between her and day-lewis was a sort of a cliché.
. a good one though.. and it had all those bonuses; New York and its high society and to watch them as if reading from Wharton novel itself (that well and detailed) and seeing Richard E. Grant, etc.
