Review of The Age of Innocence (1993) by Ray S — 24 Aug 2017
Scorsese shows his technical gift with the camera making elegant movement and stunning imagery. The film shows Victorian New York society in its complicity like it were a novel with great narration and a story that can be told with nothing being said, but the best part is that a lot of meaningful and creative dialogue is being spoken throughout.
The two leading ladies are fantastic, but Daniel Day-Lewis isn't as great as he shows in other performances.
