Review of The Age of Adaline (2015) by Emmanuel B — 09 Oct 2015

I thought this film looked pretty decent, but I was pretty disappointed in it. The film had a solid idea, but the script just wasn't very good. I didn't like the narration at all and felt that it didn't fit the film at all.

I usually didn't think the flashbacks worked and think the film would have been better linearly (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was much better and this film reminded me of it). The film is also very predictable and some of the twists I saw coming from the opening minutes.

I also called "bullshit" multiple times throughout the movie and I rarely do that to films. Overall the performances are solid and the film's concept is good, but it just didn't work for me.
